Who We Are & How We Became
Welcome to Namah-Stay; a concept born from the heart, created with care and designed to help you find peace and rejuvenation.

After years of personal and professional experience in mental health, it became clear to me, that many people face challenges when it comes to prioritising their well-being. I realised how difficult it is for so many to find a place where they feel safe enough to fully relax and simply be.
Self-care is not a luxury; it's a necessity, and it looks different for everyone. I do believe however, there are two elements that make all the difference: genuine connection and the healing power of nature. With this in mind, I set out to create a supportive space that embodies these essentials, offering a variety of wellness experiences for people to explore as they discover both new and familiar ways to rest and restore.

This is why Namah-Stay is more than just another retreat. It’s your retreat- accessible, flexible, and truly centred around your needs. From the moment we connect, I want to know what it is that makes your feel cared for and at ease. Maybe you’re craving a peaceful day filled with yoga and painting. Perhaps you long for a weekend of wholesome meals, uplifting bushwalks, and quiet moments of reflection. Or maybe it’s a mix of experiences uniquely tailored to you. A Name with Meaning
The name Namah-Stay was chosen with deep respect and intention. It is inspired by the Sanskrit mantra “Om Namah Shivay,” a sacred chant that invites us to dedicate time to our inner selves and connection to nature.
What Does “Om Namah Shivay” Mean?

Om: The sound of creation, the vibration from which the Universe was formed.

Namah: To bow or honor

Shivay: The inner self, or the consciousness that exists within all of us.
The syllables of this mantra represent the balance of nature’s five elements:

Na: Earth

Ma: Water

Si: Fire
-
Va: Air
-
Ya: Ether
Our retreat is uniquely located between the bush/earth (Na) and the ocean/water (Ma)—a living representation of these elements. The name reflects our purpose, to create a space to Stay for grounding, reflection, and deeper connection to self and nature.

Jemma Menanteau
Founder, Host, Yoga Facilitator, Support Worker
Hello, I’m Jem and I dedicated to making your stay with us as peaceful and deeply restorative as possible.
With a Bachelor of Health Science, Level 1 & 2 Yoga Teacher Training, Cert III & IV in Fitness, almost two decades working in disability, mental health and suicide prevention, along with insights from my own personal journey, I draw on this experience to bring you a holistic approach to wellness.
​I believe self-care should be accessible to all, which is why I offer a complimentary yoga class during your stay. Whether you’re here to explore new practices, meet like minded people or reconnect with yourself, my mission is to ensure you feel supported, cared for, and inspired to explore your unique path to inner peace.​
I truly appreciate the invaluable wisdom each of us carries and the opportunity to learn from one another. This is what inspired me to bring together a community of wellness experts who align with Namah-Stay's values, nurturing an environment where connection, personal growth, and healing can thrive.
